WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Believe it or not, you have been hypnotised many times before!
Every time you daydream or ‘zone out’ you enter a hypnotic or trance like state, Which essentially is hypnosis.
Have you ever driven home, preoccupied by something else and suddenly realised that even though you have arrived safely at your destination, you can’t recall getting there?
Or have you ever been unsure whether or not you did something or simply thought about doing it? For example, did you take your vitamins this morning, or did you just think about taking them?
Have you ever been so absorbed in an activity that you were able to block out sounds and not even hear them?
Have you ever stared blankly into space, thinking of nothing, and been unaware of time passing? Have you ever had the experience of watching a film or T.V and being so absorbed that you forgot about your surroundings, almost living the story? Have you ever been lulled into a dreamy state or put to sleep by a lecture or a concert, even though you were not tired? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you have been hypnotised.
WHAT DOES HYPNOSIS FEEL LIKE?
Most people experience it as a feeling of being completely physically and mentally relaxed. It has been likened to the feeling you experience just before waking completely from sleep or just before you drift off at night. Some people say it feels like daydreaming.
HOW DOES HYPNOTHERAPY WORK?
The key difference between regular therapy and hypnotherapy is that hypnotherapy completely bypasses the conscious mind.
What makes it so deeply powerful is the therapist is communicating directly with the subconscious mind of the client. It is the subconscious mind where your beliefs are stored and only from here that they can be changed.
Hypnotherapy is an extremely effective tool to reprogram and heal.
